Re-Elect JOHN BARROW for KERNERSVILLE ALDERMAN
We are blessed to live in such a wonderful town during these most challenging times. I am seeking the position of Alderman here in Kernersville to make sure that our wonderful town remains a wonderful town. It is my goal to be a strong Conservative Voice of the People on the Board of Alderman, The PEOPLES ALDERMAN.
We live in a world of information overload. The quiet tranquility that for years was a hallmark of small southern towns like Kernersville no longer exist. As Kernersville grows, we must insist on controlled growth that enhances our town and its small town atmosphere. Eg: promote a healthy balance of residential single family dwelling and avoid the sprawl of multi-family units.
We must make sure that our people feel safe in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, parks and while doing business in our wonderful town. I understand the importance of a strong Police Department and I fully support Chief Jason Tilley and the Police Department.
I believe in America First. We are all first and formost, Americans. The “Can Do Nation”, and the greatest nation in the world. We, as Americans, are an exceptional people and enjoy freedoms unequaled anywhere else in the world. That freedom is spawned by a meritocracy that has created the most prosperous nation in the world. Our Aldermen must be mindful of our freedoms and guiding principles that have brought us here. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
A President once offered, “ask not what your country can do for you, but instead as what you can do for your country”. Funny today, it sounds like something a Republican would say.
Why You Should Vote to Re-Elect John Barrow
John Barrow is Kernersville! He has lived, worked and raised his family right here in Kernersville. John is a champion for the lifestyle Kernersville offers. John knows the People of Kernersville, he knows the Schools of Kernersville, he knows the Business of Kernersville and in the last 70 years of living here, he knows the Heart of Kernersville.
In my first two terms, I have stood strong against the powerful forces that would mindlessly over develop our town into another undistinguished suburb full of apartments and mattress stores! Kernersville’s residents deserve careful and thoughtful development that compliments our wonderful town and its people.
The Town of Kernersville’s Recreation department for many years has done a survey asking the residents just what they would like to see the recreation department do in the next year. Hands down number ONE every year is the people of Kernersville want a public pool. You have been asking, and myself and the current Board of Aldermen listened. We hope to open the new Kernersville Public Pool in late 2026 or for sure 2027.
Traffic in Kernersville can, at times, be a bear! I believe that a ramp off West Mountain Street to the new I-74 would relieve alot of traffic pressure on that end of town. NCDOT sez NO. I think we have to convince them that this is a necessary access to Old I-40 aka 421, and it would serve both individual and business needs. I want to get that done.
“I remember Kernersville as a child. Downtown still feels very much as it it was then, change the names and its the 1960s. Spiros' and Charlie Snows'. Western Auto and the Baptist Church. Pinnix Drug Store, Coltrane's Grocery and Linville Dry Goods. It seemed big, it seemed that everything you needed was right here. You knew everyone. Time moves on, but it feels the same.
My staff laughs when someone calls the office for "Johnny" or when I'm coming into work, "We hear a horn honk, and JB appears". People in Kernersville still honk the horn and wave when they see you on the sidewalk . . . Just like the old days. That's My Kernersville. It makes me smile. I love it here and I want nothing more than to share that feeling with everyone.”
John Barrow is a strong conservative voice on the Board of Alderman. As an attorney, he naturally questions the issues facing the town. He looks at every situation and is open to the People of Kernersville and their thoughts and ideas. Small town Quality of Life is VIP. After all, I Believe the Aldermen work for the people that elected them.

“WE THE PEOPLE . . .”
I believe that we have been blessed to live in America. And especially to have grown up in the small town of Kernersville.
From an early age here in Kville, I was exposed the History of the United States. The biggest event in Kernersville was the 4th of July Celebration. It lasted 3 days, included the premier horse show in the South and a carnival, And highlight was the famous Kernersville 4th of July Parade. Quite a patrioitic parade to say the least celebrating our forefathers declaring independence from the English and King George III.
From all the different peoples that came here to exercise religious freedom and settle in this country. How our forefathers defeated the British and established the United States of America. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That was what my generation was taught at Kernersville Elementary School and Sunday School at the First Baptist Church. It is America I was told. We Americans are an Exceptional People in an Exceptional Country. Work hard and you can be anything you can dream of. ANYTHING!
I reckon I was a Dreamer! My generation, baby boomers, had a solid connection to our WW2 parents and a great connection to the Computer digital future. Best of both worlds. The world was ours.
Our parents had come from a simpler time, fought and defeated a man that was trying to take over the World, and in doing so, saved the Free World. Wow. American Exceptionalism. The USA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! I still beleive this is true, especially here in Kernersville. Being a small town, we have been able to live this great life without the discontent that has infected other areas of the Country.
That is my Goal as Alderman
GOD BLESS KERNERSVILLE
GOD BLESS NORTH CAROLINA
GOD BLESS AMERICA
